It organizes humanitarian convoys as well as press trips to Balkan, Caucasus and Middle East. In the Czech republic it is spreading the knowledge about these issues through debates, screenings and other events for the general public and schools. The aim of AFK is to provide access to a variety of non-mainstream films and educational programs about films. It mainly focuses on students and teachers and tries to bring their interest to the film club. They provide a variety of facilities including an art and pottery atelier, a dark room, an elementary music studio, an Internet cafe and a garden with a playground. It organizes regular cultural and educational events. In the last two years the club has also partaken in various alternative events, including festivals and thematic evenings of music and theatre. It focuses both on children, the local youth, families and the general public. Its main aim is to support children’s education and to provide them with cultural and ethical values. The association particularly tries to help children from deprived families. Yearly, approximately 14,000 people attend the events organized by the association. A significant part of its activities consist of humanitarian aid abroad.
