The gripping testimonies of four young Czechoslovak army officers who were imprisoned in the political purges of the 1950s. Having graduated from military academy in the short period between the end of WWII and the start of Communist rule in 1948, they were suspected of having allegiance not to the Communist Party, but to the institution of the military and its tradition as guarantor of national dignity.
